I started this project by making series of sketches for the client to choose from. After he settled on the one he liked the most I threw some colors onto it and sent it back for approval. After that was approved a WHOLE LOT of painting followed. I sent a couple of updates along the way. I love this stage because the details are such a great opportunity to emphasize different things about the characters. You’ll notice the napkin around the lumberjack’s neck says “I ❤️ Flapjacks”. Details like that are the best.
