Week of 10/1

Hello!

I hope this post finds you in the best of spirits. It's time for our weekly catch-up.

First and foremost, I'm thrilled to announce that I (think) I’ve put the finishing touches on the cover illustration for my upcoming picture book! It's been a labor of love, filled with countless hours of sketching, coloring, and tweaking every tiny detail. Seeing the characters and the story come to life on the cover is a feeling that's hard to put into words. I can't wait to share this magical journey with all of you.

On a personal note, I've been diving deep into the philosophy of slow living. In a world that seems to be spinning faster every day, I've learned the importance of hitting the brakes, taking a deep breath, and appreciating the beauty in the present moment. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but there's something truly transformative about slowing down and savoring each moment. Whether it's enjoying a quiet morning or taking a leisurely stroll in the evening, embracing stillness has become my anchor in this chaotic world.

This newfound perspective has seeped into my creative process as well. I've noticed that when I allow myself to be present and fully engage with my work, the results are not only more satisfying but also infused with a sense of authenticity. It's a reminder that creativity flourishes in the spaces between the chaos, and sometimes, the most beautiful things come to fruition when we give ourselves the gift of time.

Now, speaking of festivities, guess what's on the agenda for this week? I'm absolutely thrilled to share that I'll be at Fallfest in Provo, UT! The crisp autumn air, the vibrant colors of fall foliage, and the buzz of excitement that comes with community events—it's the perfect way to kick off the season. If you happen to be in the area, swing by and say hello! I'll have a booth set up with sneak peeks of my picture book, a bunch of prints, a preview of my game in development ‘Grouchy Doubters’ and maybe even a little surprise for the early birds.

As always, your support means the world to me. Whether you've been following my creative journey from the start or you're just joining in, thank you for being a part of this adventure. Let's savor the magic of the moment, find joy in the little things, and embrace the beauty of slow living together.

Remember to stay positive and creative 😊

-Josh
