Week of 10/15
Hey there, it’s been a fun couple of weeks!
First things first, I had the pleasure of attending an incredibly helpful critique group for my picture book. There's something magical about being in a room (or virtual space) with fellow creatives who are just as passionate about storytelling as you are. The feedback and insights I received were like a breath of fresh air, offering a new perspective on my work. It's amazing how a different set of eyes can spot nuances and possibilities that may have slipped through the cracks. Armed with a notebook full of takeaways, I'm super excited to dive back into my picture book and sprinkle a little more magic.
On the horizon is the potential kickoff of my 9th game illustration project. Fingers crossed, right?
In the spirit of giving back to the creative community, I've found immense value in being there for others. There's something about lending an ear, sharing experiences, and being genuinely curious about what works for others that opens up a treasure trove of learning. The creative journey is not a solo adventure, and being part of a community that supports and uplifts each other is truly invaluable. So, if you're a fellow creative reading this, let's connect! Share your wins, your struggles, and let's build each other up.
Oh, and speaking of giving, I'm toying with the idea of running a giveaway this week! If all the stars align, it's set to launch tomorrow. I won't spill all the beans just yet, but let's just say there might be some goodies involved. Keep your eyes peeled on my socials for the announcement—you won't want to miss out!
As always, thank you for being a part of this creative journey with me. Your support, comments, and virtual high-fives keep the creative fire burning. Here's to another week of art, inspiration, and maybe a little bit of magic.
Stay positive and creative!
